Richard Onslow (priest)
Richard Francis Onslow (16 January 1776〔(Varrall )〕 – 23 October 1849 〔(thePeerage.com )〕) was Archdeacon of Worcester from 1815 to〔‘PRESENTATION of PLATE to Archdeacon ONSLOW’ Morning Post (London, England), Wednesday, December 29, 1830; Issue 18736〕 1849.
He was born into an ecclesiastical family,〔His father was Dean of Worcester from 1795 until his death in 1817 > Morning Post (London, England), Wednesday, October 22, 1817; Issue 14587〕 educated at Christ Church, Oxford〔(The Oxford University Calendar 1824 p339 )〕 and ordained in 1800. He was Domestic Chaplain to the Bishop of Worcester; and then Vicar of Kidderminster until 1834.〔(The Clergy Database )〕 His final post was as Rector of Newent: in 1848 he fell ill and was "no longer able to preach".〔Berrow's Worcester Journal (Worcester, England), Thursday, February 03, 1848; Issue 7575〕
